Ms. D Turns 3: Critter Crazy

My bestie and I had little girls two months apart! It has been so much fun to watch them grow together. I love to make D's birthday shirts every year. This year however really stretched my creativity. Little miss wanted a porcupine shirt for her Critter Party! After many dreams of porcupines poking in my head..this is what I dreamed up! She kept asking me to pet it and told her momma she wanted to wear it forever, so to me it's the best success and honorary aunt could ask for!

In Bloom

Last Sunday morning I awoke with lovely dreams dancing upon my eyelids and had to capture them on paper before they drifted away into nothingness, as my dreams usually do. My hands pulled my entire body to my book of thoughts and scketched neckalaces of jewels, flowers, ribbons, and lace (these are some of my favorite things!). Then suddenly an owl in a tutu appeared dancing inbetween the lines. My heart swelled with the ethereal splendidness which only comes when thoughts become visible and a creative process has been born! I had to make that owl! I must confess the owl I made is just darling, but it pales in comparison to the one painted by my brain!
